周丹，女，中共党员，博士在读，教授，硕士研究生导师。本科毕业于华中科技大学外国语学院，研究生毕业于华中科技大学外国语学院，华中师范大学博士在读。2016-2017曾赴北京外国语大学进修访学，主要研究方向为翻译学和英语教学。主持教育部人文社科项目“中国古典文学作品中服饰术语英译研究”等省部级课题10项, 获中国纺织工业协会教育教学成果一等奖，主编教材3部，发表论文40余篇，其中CSSCI和北大核心期刊论文6篇，国际检索论文10余篇，主讲 “服饰文化翻译”、“英汉语言对比”、 “大学英语”等课程。

Zhou Dan has been a teacher at WTU since 2010. Since 2021, she has been a professor of English in School of Foreign Languages. She graduated from HUST with degrees of BA and MA, and now she is a doctoral student in Central China Normal University. In 2016, she attended a –year visiting scholar program in Beijing Foreign Studies University. Her research interest lies in TEFL teaching & research and translation studies, particularly costume translation studies. She has presided 10 ministerial or provincial research projects, and published 3 textbooks and more than 40 research papers on CSSCI journals and other refereed journals. She won first-prize of China Textile Association. And under her guidance, the students won some prizes in NECCS, “FLTRP”English Writing Contest, and Hubei Translation Competition in the past years. Her lecture courses are “College English”, “Translation on Costume and Culture” and “Comparison and Contrast between English and Chinese”etc.
