刘方荣，硕士，副教授，硕士研究生导师，外国语学院副院长、湖北省比较文学学会监事。本科和硕士均毕业于湖北大学外国语学院，研究方向为文化翻译与跨文化交际。主持“纺织之光”中国纺织工业联合会教改项目1项，省级项目1项，校级项目4项，课程思政优秀案例2项，参编教材2部，主编专著1部，参与多项省级科研项目，发表教学及科研论文20余篇，曾获学校第五届“学生心目中的优秀教职工”荣誉称号，中国纺织工业联合会教学成果二等奖、三等奖，学校本科教学质量二等奖，指导多名学生获得全国大学生英语竞赛特等奖，学校优秀共产党员，优秀工会工作者。主讲研究生课程：笔译理论与技巧，本科课程：“大学基础英语”，“英语技能训练”，“学科英语（经管类）”，“学科英语（理工类）”，“英语语言拓展（中国文化概况）”等课程。

Liu Fangrong has been at WTU since 2005. She became the Vice Dean of School of Foreign Languages at WTU in May, 2022. Since 2016, she has been an associate professor of English in School of Foreign Languages. She holds a BA and MA from Hubei University. She has been responsible for one provincial-level scientific research projects. She has published more than 20 academic papers and participated in compiling 1 book. She has received various awards for her teaching including the “Teaching Achievements” Prize from China Textile Association etc. Her mainly teaching courses for postgraduates include “A Concise Course of Translation” and courses for undergraduates include “College English”, “English-speaking Skill Training”, “Academic English (Economics and Administration)”, “Academic English (Science and Technology)”,“English Development-type Course (A Glimpse of Chinese Culture)”etc.
