“中国现代性翻译史的叙事和建构”国际研讨会征稿启事
经湖北省政府外事办公室和湖北省教育厅批准，“中国现代性翻译史的叙事和建构”国际研讨会（The International Symposium on the Narration and Construction of Modern Translation History in China）于2012年7月11日在武汉纺织大学召开。本次会议由武汉纺织大学和湖北省炎黄文化研究会联合举办，由武汉纺织大学外国语学院承办。现向全国及海外征集会议论文。
一、会议议题
1. 现代性翻译研究
2. 后殖民翻译研究
3. 辛亥革命的现代性翻译理论与实践
4. 翻译史或叙事研究
5. 翻译中的东方主义与西方主义
6. 全球化时代中西文本和本体论意义上的对话
7. 其他相关领域研究
二、论文要求
1．论文摘要2012年5月10日前提交
会议的工作语言为英语和汉语，论文可以用英语或汉语撰写，与会者请于2012年5月10日前电邮提交论文摘要（中文限600字；英文限400词）。摘要格式要求如下：1）论文题目（双语）；2）所属单位和姓名；3）摘要（双语）；4）关键词（双语、5个以内）；5）联系电话；6）电子邮件地址；7）通讯地址及邮编。研讨会筹委会将组织专家对摘要进行评审，并及时向入选者发出正式会议邀请，通告会议的相关具体细节。
2．完整论文2012年5月31日前提交
完整论文，字数要求：原则上中文限7000字以内、英文等外文限4000词以内（均含参考文献），请于2012年5月31日前电邮提交研讨会筹委会。论文（及参考文献）格式请参照《外语教学与研究》。
会议期间将评选优秀论文；大会宣读论文将择优结集出版。

Call for Papers
Call for Papers on any area of the following research:
· Studies on translating modernity;

Postcolonial translation studies;

Studies and practice related to translating modernity focusing on the 1911 Chinese Revolution;

Translation History and narration research;

Orientalism and Occidentalism in translation;
-
Ontological dialogues between Chinese and western discourses in the era of Globalization;
· Other related areas.
All intended participants at the 2012 Symposium are invited to submit a One page abstract containing the following information:

Keynotes and speakers
The invited plenary speakers will include Professor Douglas Robinson from Department of English, Lingnan University, Hong Kong; Professor David G. Smith from Faculty of Education, University of Alberta, Canada; Professor Emeritus Colin Mackerras from Department of International Business and Asian Studies, Griffith University, Australia and Doctor Michael O’Sullivan from Department of English, Chinese University of Hong Kong.
